A foreigner may work in Kosovo by either obtaining a
- residency permit for employment or
- short term work permit
Establishing and registering a company, for the purpose of the Law on Foreigner, is not considered work. Therefore, no work permit or short term work permit of employment is required for a foreigner who stays in Kosovo within the permitted time of stay for the purpose of establishing a business entity.
